Standard 6

Minutes

November 8, 2000

Present: Ed. Casson, Susan Polk, Sandy Thomsen, Stan Levine, Roman Juarez, John Cantley, Dale Newman.

The committee asked for the library to be capitalized through the entire report. The committee reported their findings and made wording, grammatical, and developing information changes.

The committee agreed that such extensive description are necessary to address some complaints about services such as tutors.

The committee thoroughly discussed the current possible problems with the new audiovisual request process and listed the possible solutions to these problems.

The committee debated whether the results of the accreditation survey reflected only the Library and not the Learning Resource Center.

The committee reviewed the technology section considering that standard six is not about technology and whether some of this writing might be unnecessary for the accreditation purpose. The committed added more comments about the future need for space and technology at the college.

Newman and Polk agreed to right some additional information about the need of space.

The standard was approved unanimously.

Adjournment.
