PROGRESS
John Cantley reported to the committee the current accreditation status.
He announced that the deadline to finish the report would be December 1, 2000. Once completed, the Board of Trustees will receive a camera-ready copy of the report for their approval.ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT REVIEW
The steering committee was provided with a copy of the 20 eligibility requirements two weeks before this meeting and was asked to comment on their finding. The committee reviewed each one of the requirements and determined that the college was in compliance in all categories. The committee agreed to collect appropriate documents to support their conclusion.
FOCUS GROUPS
John inform the committee that the self study will be distributed by email and paper to everybody in the college. Anyone interested in a specific theme will be invited to review that specific sections in a focus group to verify that the college has written the correct information and that the themes have adequately been addressed.
REPORT OF THE 11/01/00 MCPP MEETING
John informed the committee of the results of the November 1 MCPP meeting at Valley College. Based on information learned at that meeting, John ask the committee to volunteer during the visit to assist the visiting team in any needs they might have.
John informed the committee that WASC would be writing a handbook based on the Valley, Mission and Pierce multi-college pilot program process.
The committee will meet again before December 1, 2000.
