Photo of Louise MandellWelcome to Art History!

In Art 101 we will examine the history of Western Art from the cave paintings of France and Spain to the catherals of Europe.

Art 102 focuses on the art of Europe and America from the Renaissance to the Present.

We will look at the history of art chronologically and examine the ways in which contemporary political, scientific, and social events affect art.

On this website you will find listings of art events and exhibitions in Los Angeles that relate to material covered in class, as well as vocabulary lists, slide lists and exam study questions from our course work. Additional extra-credit opportunities will also be posted here.

I hope that you will find these classes to be enriching and rewarding.
