
When to Apply for Curriculum
NEW courses (new to District); Use ECD and complete steps 1 - 8 in curriculum approval process.
ADDITIONS (not new to District, but new to our campus); Use ECD and complete steps 1 - 8 in curriculum approval process.
UPDATES (existing Mission courses, required within 5 years); Use ECD and complete steps 1 - 8 in curriculum approval process.. (If the course has not been offered AND the outline has not been updated, the course will be removed from the catalog, and consequently ASSIST.)
CHANGES (minor changes to existing Mission courses: such as title, or number of units.); Use ECD and complete steps 1 - 8 in curriculum approval process. A Course Change form will be automatically generted by ECD when submitting to the District.
DISTANCE EDUCATION** (such as on-line courses); See the Distance Education Approval Process link.
ARCHIVAL OF A COURSE Use ECD and complete steps 1 - 8 in curriculum approval process.
REINSTATEMENT OF A COURSE (courses which have been archived or not offered in 5 years); use ECD and complete steps 1 - 8 in curriculum approval process.
NEW PROGRAMS & CERTIFICATES & SKILLS AWARDS
(see guidelines in Course Approval Handbook); Use form CCC-501and submit all new and updated courses on ECD.
NOTE The program cannot be submitted to the State if any of the courses in the new program are expired.
