Principles, techniques and practices used in sports activities, rhythmic
activities, aquatics, gymnastics and other conditioning activities as
directed in this course.

EFFICIENCY
Prerequisite: None | Lecture: 1 hour, lab 2 hours. UC:CSU 2 UNITS
An active program of physical fitness through flexibility and strength
exercises. Including weight conditioning and aerobic activities. Personalized
fitness programs are developed for each student. The student will also
learn the principles of fitness conditioning, weight control and nutrition
guidance.

Introduction for the non-swimmer, which includes fundamental skills for
basic swimming strokes, safety, and survival techniques.

This course is designed for the student athlete and covers the following
areas: (1) the analysis and training of athletic skills, (2) analysis
of offensive and defensive skills, and (3) physical and aerobic conditioning.

This course is designed to meet the needs of students with disabilities
who can benefit from individualized cardiovascular endurance through the
use of bicycle ergometers, treadmills, etc.
