Scanning & captioning services
High Speed Scanning Service
Los Angeles Mission College Alt Media is very excited to offer this new inter-college service made possible by the DSP&S. LAMC will be serving the LAMC disabled students. We look forward to working with you!
In the effort to keep the entire process uniform, all information and contact forms necessary are contained in this section of the site. We encourage you to use them for the quickest responses to requests and updates. You will always be sent immediate confirmation emails to assure you that your information was received.
LAMC DSP&S office has developed some guidelines and procedures and used them as a basis to create a smooth and streamlined process. Please read through them if this is your first request. To view the guidelines and process visit the High Speed Scanning Process page.
To make a scan request, please visit the High Speed Scanning Request page.
To make a progress inquiry, or request or send information regarding a current scan job, please visit the Inquiry page.
Please feel free to voice any comments through the Scanning Feedback form.
LAMC Captioning Service
LAMC does not have a captioning system program yet. If you are an instructor that shows educational films in the classroom, you can have those films captioned free of charge, even if that film is not owned by the LAMC campus or Library. We source everything out we do not do all the work.
If the Library or campus owns a video that you show in class, let us know the Title and we will caption it.
If you are not going to be showing a film this semester, now would be a perfect time to have that film captioned. To find out more visit the Video Captioning or Digital Captioning page.
