Program Review
Program Review and Purposes
Program review is a comprehensive process whereby all campus units engage in a self-assessment to determine how well they are aligned with the college mission and goals and planning to determine how to best advance those goals.
The primary purposes of program review are:
- To assure the quality of instructional, non-instructional programs, and services, to promote student success, to ensure institutional effectiveness, and aligned with college missions and goals
- To integrate and strengthen planning, decision making, and resource allocation
- To encourage program development and improvement
- To improve the use of college resources
- To comply with Accreditation requirements

Program Review Cycle
Comprehensive program review is done every three years. The unit plan is developed as part of the program review and is updated annually. The program review cycle is designed to coincide with the accreditation cycle as shown in the Accreditation and Program Review table.
