More than 400 parents, children and other guests from throughout the northeast San Fernando Valley attended the Festival of Readers at Mission College. The event offered a variety of fun activities designed to impress parents with the importance of getting their children to read. The festival featured arts, crafts, storytelling, stage shows, and music. It was jointly sponsored by Mission College's Family Development Network and Community Literacy Academy, and the community-based Friends of the Family organization.
