Writer/Journalist Róger Lindo Visits Spanish Students

Róger Lindo, a Salvadoran writer and journalist, visited Professor Mario Escobar's Spanish class on Wednesday. During his visit, more than 30 students had the opportunity to hear him speak and learn about his writing experiences.

He mentioned some of his novels "El perro en la niebla” and "La Isla de los Monos" highlighting that "literature is at the service of change." Also, he shared his experience as a journalist for the newspaper La Opinion where, he had the opportunity to cover different topics such as immigration, education, economy, transportation, energy and labor movement.

“This job allowed me to know the city. I know this city through its incidents. Journalism also helped me understand the complexity of Los Angeles, the stories of immigrants, African Americans, Mexicans, Salvadorans, and minorities."
