Topics will include Cinco de Mayo's impact on the U.S. Civil War and the Chicano Movement, including a discussion about how holidays from around the world have been celebrated and promoted by food and beer companies – is this a sign of acceptance into the U.S. cultural mainstream or cultural appropriation?
