Make a Difference and Run for Student Trustee!

The LACCD Student Trustee is an important elected position charged with representing the interests of students and advocating on their behalf. The Student Trustee serves as a member of the Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) Board of Trustees.

Before submitting your online or paper application for Student Trustee to the Associated Student Organization office at your home college, please review the below checklist.

To qualify, you will need to submit the following:

1. A letter of recommendation written by a member of the college community (student, faculty, or administrator)
2. A candidate statement as to why you wish to be a Student Board Member.
3. A candidate photo (headshot) which will be used during the campaign.
4. A petition with one hundred (100) student signatures and college ID numbers must be submitted with the completed application.

Only candidates with an approved application package may begin campaigning for the position of Student Trustee.

The deadline to submit an application package to have your name appear on the ballot is Friday, March 15, 2024.

The Write-In Candidate deadline Friday, March 22, 2024 by 4 pm.
