Los Angeles Mission College left its footprint right in the heart of the community Saturday morning as it marched up Van Nuys Boulevard during the Pacoima Holiday Parade.

The college arrived with a diverse group of students, faculty, staff and administrators representing all corners of the campus. Athletic Director Steve Ruys brought members of the Baseball, Softball, Volleyball, Cross Country, and Soccer teams. Professor Josh Wentz and the Music Club sang as they marched. The Drama Club put on a show from the back of a pickup truck. Wendy Rivera and the Outreach and Recruitment team were on hand. Dennis Solares made sure to promote Noncredit. Kelly Enos patrolled the streets in the Administration of Justice squad car. Dean Carlos Gonzalez and the METAS team helped distribute promotional materials. Alpha Gamma Sigma and the Associated Student Organization (ASO) joined in on the fun.

"This is exactly what we wanted ... A group that represented the entire college," said E'Leaya Harris, who served as Chair of the planning committee.

Trucks used in the parade were provided by Dean Gonzalez, Albert Ybarra, director of the Learning Resource Center, and Richard Castaneda from the Veterans Resource Center. President Monte Perez, PhD provided baseball jerseys for the participants.
