Services Will Be Offered Remotely On Monday

Due to Tropical Storm Hilary, we will be offering services remotely on Monday, August 21st. We plan to resume all in-person services on Tuesday, August 22nd.

Los Angeles Mission College is monitoring Hilary as it approaches the Los Angeles area. The safety of all college locations and team members is our top priority. As a result, we will be offering all services remotely on Monday, August 21st.
The National Weather Service predicts the hurricane will diminish to a tropical storm when it reaches Southern California Sunday midday through Monday. A flood and tropical storm watch has been issued for parts of Los Angeles County, including Sylmar and surrounding communities.
Campus Preparedness
- LAMC Administration monitoring the storm closely and coordinating preparedness and response planning, including checking facilities for potential flooding and leaks.
- Outdoor athletics practices for Monday have been canceled. Indoor practices are still scheduled. Contact your coach for more information.
Preparation Tips
- Register for notifications from L.A. City Emergency Alert or L.A. County Alerts.
- Follow @ReadyLA on social media channels for event developments and general resources to stay informed.
- Stay away from the shoreline and beaches throughout the duration of the storm. Review hurricane safety tips and resources provided by the National Weather Service.
- Be prepared for potential power outages by charging phones, laptops, and other power supply instruments. Keep a flashlight handy with available batteries.
