As part of LAMC’s celebration of Latino Heritage Month, please join our Chicano Studies Department as we reflect on the 80th anniversary of the Zoot Suit Riots.
On Wednesday, September 20th, we will examine the causes of the riots, discuss how a style of dress became the focal point of unrest, and cover the riots’ lasting cultural legacy.
