Join Us for STEMchella!

Our Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) Department is excited to host the first-ever STEMchella at Los Angeles Mission College (LAMC) during the opening week of the 2024 fall semester.

Designed for new and returning STEM students, this two-day event is your chance to learn more about our support programs, student clubs, and academic programs.

Tabling:
Explore our programs and resources! Multiple student support programs, student clubs, and departments will be tabling on Wednesday (8/28) and Thursday (8/29) from 12–1:30 pm in the Center for Math & Science (CMS) Building on East Campus.

Presentations:
Program specific presentation will take place on both days:

• Career Center | 2–3 pm | Room CMS 121 | Wednesday & Thursday
  Are you looking for a job, part-time job, internship or volunteer opportunities? Come register for LAMC’s online job board where local employers are posting jobs just for you!
• Library/Learning Resource Center | 3–3:30 pm | Room CMS 121 | Wednesday & Thursday
  Learn about all the services the library and LRC has to offer.
• Welcome Center | drop-in as needed from 2–5 pm | Room CMS 126
  Learn how to navigate your student portal, add/drop classes, access your school email and more!
• Support Programs | 2–3 pm | Room CMS 127 | Wednesday & Thursday
  Learn how Support services such as Disabled Student Programs and Services (DSPS), Veterans Resource Center, CalWorks, and Re-entry Hub services can help you while at LAMC.
• Special Programs | 3–4 pm | Room CMS 127 | Wednesday & Thursday
  Learn how to get involved with student government (ASO), MESA, and TRiO Program.
