New Students
New students receiving VA Benefits must complete the following items #1 to 10 listed below. Documents must be submitted to vrc@lamission.edu.
Submit the Online Los Angeles Mission College Application.
Apply for Financial Aid. All students are encouraged to apply. Start by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online.
Apply for VA Educational Benefits and Obtain a Certificate of Eligibility letter through Veterans Affairs Website. Submit a copy of your Certificate of Eligibility (COE) to vrc@lamission.edu
Send Official Transcripts to Admissions from all previous colleges attended.
Please contact our office to access the packet. Submit the VRC Student Packet to vrc@lamission.edu.
Please submit a copy of your DD-214 (Member 4) to vrc@lamission.edu. Recipients of the Dependents' Educational Assistance (DEA) Program (Ch. 35) will need to provide the Veteran's DD-214.
Meet with the Veterans Counselor to discuss your Education Goals and develop an Educational Plan. To make an appointment, contact the VRC office.
Choose your courses from the Schedule of Classes and Register Online.
Email the VRC and fill out the Request for Benefits to receive your VA Educational Benefits.
